We are looking for a talented Rigging Artist to join our creative team! You’ll work closely with animators, modelers, and technical directors to create flexible and efficient rigs for a variety of projects.

Location: Bengaluru, India

About the Role: As a Lead Texturing Artist at Za Studios, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our projects. You will lead a team of talented artists in the creation of high-quality textures and materials that breathe life into our digital worlds. Collaborating closely with the art director and other department leads, you will ensure that our textures align with the artistic vision while meeting technical requirements.

• • Key Responsibilities

    • Create and implement character and prop rigs for animation.
    • Develop flexible and efficient rigging systems that meet production needs.
    • Work closely with animators to ensure rigs are user-friendly and responsive.
    • Troubleshoot and debug rigging issues during the production process.
    • Optimize rigs for performance and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with modeling and animation teams to maintain quality standards.
      
      

• • Requirements

    ✔ Proficiency in Maya, Blender, or Houdini (depending on the pipeline).
    ✔ Strong understanding of skeleton setup, skinning, and deformation techniques.
    ✔ Experience with Python or MEL scripting for automation and rigging tools.
    ✔ Familiarity with facial rigging, dynamic rigs, and secondary motion setups.
    ✔ Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize rig performance.
    ✔ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
